Advanced Power Engineering Concepts Textbook Set (USCS) [Ed. 2.0]
Advanced Power Engineering Concepts learning materials are designed to be used in self-directed learning, in distance-learning delivery, and for delivery within more traditional classroom-based programs.
The Advanced course material is often delivered as a 1-year Certificate program or as a 2-year Associate Degree program through Colleges, Technical Institutes, and Universities across North America.
The set is comprised of 60 modules in 4 volumes and meets the knowledge requirements of NIULPE.
The 60 topic modules cover the full range of basic knowledge required by a senior operator in a steam or refrigeration plant. The topics include, but are not limited to: Applied mechanics and material sciences; Boilers design, construction, operation, maintenance and ancillary equipment; Controls and Instrumentation; Pumps and Compressors; Prime Movers, and Refrigeration.
The 3rd Class learning material package includes the "Academic Supplement" publication, which contains Steam Tables, Refrigeration Tables, and a Handbook of Formulae and Constants.
There are also a number of supplementary Learning Activities available for viewing on line.
